Story
My name is Amber Buga
(pronounced boo-gah)
you can think of me as the octopus teacher guiding all the baby turtles under the water...
How did I end up being passionate about working with children and teaching swimming? By universal intervention!

I worked in the service industry for much of my early adult life but never considered working with children until 2009 when my sister, Shannon Goff, sought swim instructor help with her growing swim school, FLOW Aquatics. Unexpectedly, I found myself working with children and realized my passion for teaching infants and toddlers under the age of 3.

Over the years, I've discovered that teaching children is as diverse as the colors of the rainbow, and there's no black-and-white approach. I've learned to decipher children's needs, wants, and dislikes through their non-verbal communication, helping me educate parents on how developmental and physical changes can affect their children on land and water.

Driven by my passion for saving and changing lives, I decided to create SWIM. LOVE. BABIES which solely focuses on children aged 0-3 years old. As a lifelong learner, I have a thirst for knowledge and love sharing it in the water with "my little turtles." At SWIM. LOVE. BABIES, my priorities lie with the trust bond I forge with children in the water, prioritizing it above all else, even over my own and my parents' agendas.
Fun Facts

We LOVE traveling and our family heritage is quite the mix! I'm ¼ Dutch-Indonesian, ¼ Chinese, and ½ American and my husband is 100% Romanian.

Did you know that baby turtles have a remarkable ability to find their way to the ocean? After hatching from their eggs, they use the light of the moon reflecting off the ocean to guide them in the right direction.

In our school, giggles and smiles are a must! We have a secret stash of jokes that we use to make kiddos and parents laugh while in the building.
